Mazel Media Promotes Pittsburgh Toys for Tykes

For children of all ages, very few feelings match the excitement of opening presents Christmas morning.

Often overlooked, however, are the children who won’t receive gifts on Christmas. Victims of unfair circumstances beyond their control, these kids deserve the same level of excitement of their more fortunate peers.

Thanks to the Greater Pittsburgh Business Connection and its local business members, hundreds of less fortunate children received gifts during the holiday season as a result of the “Toys for Pittsburgh Tikes” program.

  • To increase awareness of “Toys for Pittsburgh Tikes” that guarantees all toys will be given to local Pittsburgh children
  • To collect donations of toys and money for families in need within our community
  • To promote the Greater Pittsburgh Business Connection consisting of more than 50 local business owners who work together to help improve
  • The local Pittsburgh-area communities in which they do business

Call to action:

  • Creating a 10 second television commercial to air from mid-November through mid-December on WTAE TV.
  • Utilizing social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) to promote events
  • Sending press releases to all Pittsburgh (and the surrounding area) newspapers

  • Donations received: Over $10,000
  • Toys received, purchased with donations and distributed: Over 5,800
  • Organizations helping distribute toys: Children’s Hospital, Big Brother & Big Sisters, Beverly’s Birthdays, City of Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, Duquesne Family Support Center, Catherine’s Foundation, Theiss Early Autism Program, and Refuge Church in Manor
